Zamfara State Governor, His Excellency Hon. Bello Muhammed Matawalle convinced Zamfara people and non-native business people to be safe after nine soldiers were killed by unrepentant gunmen in Jangebe, near Anka local government area district.

The governor said he had instructed the joint forces of the army, police and other security services to be vigilant and to step up efforts to prevent bad incidents from happening again.
He encouraged the people to always endeavor to report any suspicious movement of people to the security agencies in the state.
Governor Matawalle said that the target was to distract the focus of the state government from delivering the dividends of democracy for the people.
The governor re-emphasized that the resolve of his government was to ensure perfect security of lives and properties in the state.
“The fight against criminal elements would not be treated with a mere wave of the hand,” he assured
“I believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility, not just the government,” he added.
However, it is interesting for traditional leaders to ensure that their territories are monitored to ensure the security of life and property in their area.
