Kogi state new deputy governor

Edward Onoja was appointed as Deputy Governor of Kogi by Governor Yahaya Bello,  just hours after Simon Achuba was impeached by the Kogi state house of assembly because of alleged serious violations.

Onoja’s nomination as Deputy Governor came two days after he resigned from his position as Govenor Yahaya Bello’s Chief of Staff.  Abdulkareem Jamiu was appointed to replace him.

It is expected that Onoja who is the most influential member of the governor’s cabinet will be sworn-in on Saturday October 19. 

Emonioku Ogugu old indigene, aged 44, from the Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state, requested a 2011 ticket for the All-Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) which was not in the House of Assembly. He is also the Strategy Chief of the Yahaya Bello Campaign Organization. in 2015
