Former President Benin Nicephore Soglo accused Saudi Arabia and Qatar of funding Boko Haram.
Boko Haram, the Islamic state in the West African Province (ISWAP), has become a major security threat in the West African region.
Nicephore Soglo, speaking at the Constitutional Summit in Naimey, Niger Republic, said that Africans must unite to solve their own problems.
“Boko Haram is funded by our friends from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Whether we are friends or not, tell the truth, we must stand together.
“I am optimistic that we will win if we stand together,” Nicephore Soglo said.
