The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) destroyed an enormous logistics base and training camp of the West African Islamic State of Kusuma (ISWAP) on the border of Lake Chad in Borno.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed this in a statement to NAN on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the operation was carried out on Wednesday by the LAFIYA DOLE Air Force Task Force. “It was held in the air after a message of reliable information was discovered that part of the compromise functioned as a training camp for terrorists.” Some buildings in the warehouse are used to store fuel, weapons, ammunition and other logistics products.
“The results of observing the attacks show that many fighters are trying to escape from the scene with the sound of how the fighters are attacked by the aircraft, constantly passing through and neutralizing many fighters.” Terrorist logistics stores were also affected by the fire.
The spokesman added that the NAF, operating in concert with surface forces, would sustain its efforts to completely destroy all remnants of the terrorists in the North East.
