Minimum Wage: NLC, TUC Give Buhari Ultimatum 1
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) union leaders have given an ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari so as government to complete negotiations on adjustments to the next worker’s salary between classes 7 and 14.

They also rejected the Presidential Committee to discuss the matter further.

That was the result of a meeting attended by leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC)  in Abuja on Wednesday.

The union said that the Joint National Council for the Negotiation of Civil Servants must complete its work within a week.

A joint statement after the meeting called for “grades 7-14 and 6.5% for people aged 15-17 to be increased by 29% and not 11%”.
“We may not guarantee peace and harmony in the country’s industry if our requests are not met by the closure of business on Wednesday, October 16,” he added.
